On January 25, the head of the historical museum, Stanislav Stepenkin, conducted a thematic excursion “Cherkasy region – Cossack and Shevchenko Region”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the formation of the Cherkasy region. Forced migrants from various regions of Ukraine, who now live in the city of Korsun-Shevchenkivsky, visited the excursion. During the excursion, they learned a lot about the past of Cherkasy region and, in particular, Korsun region, about the importance of Cherkasy region in the establishment and establishment of Ukraine’s independence.
