{"id":3730,"date":"2021-07-01T13:41:54","date_gmt":"2021-07-01T10:41:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/korsunzapovidnyk.com.ua\/spring-torn-by-the-atom\/"},"modified":"2021-07-01T13:41:54","modified_gmt":"2021-07-01T10:41:54","slug":"spring-torn-by-the-atom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/korsunzapovidnyk.com.ua\/en\/spring-torn-by-the-atom\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8221; Spring torn by the atom &#8220;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Exhibition &#8221; Spring torn by the atom &#8221;<br \/>\nFrom April 26 to May 13 in the historical museum of the Reserve there is an exhibition &#8220;Spring torn by the Atom&#8221;, created for the 35th anniversary of the disaster on Chernobyl nuclear power plant (Chernobyl) and dedicated to the liquidators of its consequences.<br \/>\nThe exhibition features photographs, documents, awards, and personal belongings of firefighters Oleksiy Huzy, Mykola Mykytenko, and Yuri Marshalenko, who in June 1986 were among the first from the Korsun region to take part in the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident. In July-August of the same year, Oleksandr Kravtsov and Vitaliy Hanych, a construction crew worker, worked in the Chernobyl zone; in September-October &#8211; Viktor Hrytsenko, driver of the TV-26 tower; in October-December &#8211; Mykola Samoilenko, truck driver.<br \/>\nIn July 1987, Volodymyr Shafran took part in clearing the building for storage of nuclear fuel waste. In August-September of the same year, Mykola Shevchenko worked in the Pass Office in the Chernobyl zone.<br \/>\nIn July-December 1989, Ivan Mykytenko took part in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident.<br \/>\nAll Korsun residents performed extremely dangerous work, because according to the International Nuclear Event Scale, the Chernobyl accident was classified as the highest, seventh level of danger, and the radiation released into the air due to the explosion of the power unit was 30-40 times higher than during the atomic bomb explosion in Hiroshima.<br \/>\nEvery day we are moving away from those terrible events, but we have no right to forget what happened and the people who, saving humanity from nuclear danger, sacrificed the most precious thing &#8211; their health and lives.<br \/>\nThe organizer of the exhibition is Iryna Pasnytska, a junior researcher.<br \/>\nPhotos by Iryna Kovalenko.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exhibition &#8221; Spring torn by the atom &#8221; From April 26 to May 13 in the historical museum of the Reserve there is an exhibition &#8220;Spring torn by the Atom&#8221;, created for the 35th anniversary of the disaster on Chernobyl nuclear power plant (Chernobyl) and dedicated to the liquidators of its consequences.
