This icon is a valuable work of sacred art of the XIX century. It was written by the father of the famous Ukrainian composer Kyrylo Hryhorovych Stetsenko \u2013 Hryhoriy Mykhailovych Stetsenko.<br \/>\n This is the fifth icon that Oksana Tymkiv has charitably restored for the Reserve. Earlier, she restored icons: &#8220;The Image of the Virgin of Tikhvin&#8221;, &#8220;The Image of the Virgin Hodegetria&#8221;, &#8220;The Savior King of Kings&#8221;, a three-part icon &#8220;The Savior the Great Bishop with opposing St. Barbara and St. Nicholas&#8221;.<br \/>\nAll the restored icons are now exhibited in the reserve&#8217;s art gallery, in the section &#8220;Sacred art &#8211; symbolic art&#8221;.<br \/>\nThank you Oksana Anatoliyivna for a wonderful gift.<br \/>\nWe invite Korsuns and guests of the city to visit the art gallery, get acquainted with the works of sacred art, to be imbued with their spiritual power.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the great Christian holiday of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin, artist-painter, graphicartist, restorer Oksana Tymkiv handed over to the Reserve a charitably restored icon &#8220;Coronation of the Virgin Mary&#8221;, which was previously stored in the funds and could not be exhibited due to unsatisfactory condition.
