MAIDAN: THE PATH OF DIGNITY AND REMEMBRANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n

To commemorate the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, the Military Museum of the Reserve hosted an event titled \u201cMaidan: The Path of Dignity and Remembrance\u201d<\/em> for 9th-grade students of the Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi Lyceum.<\/p>\n

Among the participants were two residents of Korsun and active participants in the Revolution of Dignity\u2014Nataliya Linevych and Svitlana Lutsenko. Nataliya Stanislavivna spoke about the events in Kyiv during the winter of 2013\u20132014, in which she took part, and about the courage and sacrifice of Roman Sokurenko, an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity and volunteer soldier who died from severe wounds sustained in the Russo-Ukrainian war. Svitlana Mykolaivna shared her memories of the events at the Korsun checkpoint on the final day of the Revolution of Dignity. Their stories were emotional and deeply moving.<\/p>\n

Lidiya Ovsiienko, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the Reserve, spoke about Heavenly Hundred Hero and Hero of Ukraine Vasyl Serhiyenko, who was kidnapped from the yard of his own home and brutally tortured on April 4, 2014. Her account was complemented by Nataliya Linevych, who knew Vasyl Mykolayovych well and was directly involved in the search for his body.<\/p>\n

At the end of the event, the students visited the exhibition \u201cUkraine Above All!\u201d<\/em> A brief tour was given by Tetiana Polyakova, head of the Military Museum and host of the event.<\/p>\n
