NATIONAL ENVIRONMENT DAY

Traditionally celebrated on the third Saturday of April, Ukraine’s National Environment Day brought together staff of the Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi State Historical and Cultural Reserve and volunteers for environmental activities as part of the project “Let’s Preserve the Environment.”

Together, participants:

  • Cleared self-seeded plants and shrubs along the banks of the Ros River;

  • Performed partial maintenance of lilac plantings;

  • Collected household waste in the area of the historic park;

  • Planted young saplings of roses, hibiscus, and hazelnuts;

  • Spruced up flowerbeds.

All participants wholeheartedly contributed their efforts to preserve and enhance the beauty of the reserve’s park.
