On October 4, a master class “Amulets for a defender” was held in the Reserve, during which children, together with scientists, painstakingly made amulets for Ukrainian soldiers. They skillfully worked with felt, creating yellow and blue hearts-charms. The children invested all their respect, love and gratitude to the Ukrainian soldiers for protection, for peaceful dawns, for the opportunity to go to school. On May 18, on the International Day of Museums, the exhibition “From the Home Treasury” was exhibited on the territory of the Reserve. The main exhibit of the exhibition was an old wooden chest from the village of Vilshany (now an urban-type village of Zvenigorod District, Cherkasy Region), built at the beginning of the 20th century. The family heirloom was transferred to the Reserve in 2004 by Svitlana Musienko, a resident of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi. A box with a convex age, low legs, an incised lock, and metal handles, inside on the side – a traditional box for money, documents, and jewelry.

For the 375th anniversary of the Battle of Korsun, the book exhibition “Pages of Cossack Glory” has been created in the historical museum of the Reserve, which presents 33 books from the scientific library of the Reserve, which tell about heroic pages from the history of Ukraine, in particular the Korsun Region, of the Cossack era. On May 17, on the eve of International Museum Day and Vyshyvanka Day, the exhibition “Family Shrine” was exhibited on the territory of the Reserve. It featured shirts that Korsun families keep and are proud of. Halyna Opalat is a true defender of her kind. Galina Ivanivna’s family keeps an old chest with family jewels: wedding towels, bright handkerchiefs, embroidered shirts. The most expensive for her are the shirts sewn and embroidered by her mother’s hands. The modern exposition of the Museum of the History of the Korsun-Shevchenkivska Battle covers the course of hostilities from two points of view: Soviet and German. More than 3,000 documents, photos, items of equipment and uniforms, weapons, etc. of both warring parties were used for this purpose. However, many museum objects are stored in the funds and used to create temporary exhibitions. On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Korsun-Shevchenkivska offensive operation, the exhibition “War and Art: Drawings of Frontline Artists of the Second World War” was opened at the Museum of the History of the Korsun-Shevchenkivska Battle. The exhibition presents 26 drawings by frontline artists, mostly participants in the operation. In between battles, they painted the surrounding landscapes, battlefields, but most attention was paid to portraits of fellow soldiers.
