Creating a kokedama
editOn February 19, a botanical meeting was held with students of the University of the Third Age of the Territorial Center for Social Services of the Korsun-Shevchenkivsk City Council.
The event was called “Kokedama – bonsai for everyone.” Kokedama is a fashionable trend in Japanese art that was revived more than 10 years ago. This is the cultivation of indoor flowers and wild plants not in pots, but in moss balls, in which the soil and root system of the plant are carefully wrapped. Thanks to this, an interesting and unusual composition is created that fits perfectly into modern interior design.
During the practical session, each participant created their own unique kokedama. The meeting was filled with friendly communication. And thanks to the natural materials, a small oasis of spring colors settled in the hall on this cold day.
