Presentation of the exhibitions of Vira Vlasenko and Yaroslav Poltavets
editOn International Museum Day, May 18, the Reserve staff held a series of diverse events for visitors, which harmoniously combined intellectual knowledge and aesthetic pleasure. They helped those present to distract themselves from the difficult wartime present, touch the beautiful, and gain new knowledge about the history, ethnography, and nature of their native land.
It is gratifying that many people visited the Reserve: from young families with children to people of the older generation. Among the guests were veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, artists, and local historians. A friendly atmosphere of sincere interest prevailed at all the events that took place at six locations.
The presentation of exhibitions by Korsun residents Vira Vlasenko and Yaroslav Poltavets took place іn the “Poniatovsky Palace” museum.
Vira Vlasenko presented an exhibition of artworks “A Moment in Color.” The talented artist not only paints pictures. She holds interesting creative master classes, takes an active part in charity art auctions, and works extensively with veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, helping them find peace, renewal, and new meanings in life through art.
Engineer of the Korsun-Shevchenkivsk branch of PJSC “Cherkasioblenergo” Yaroslav Poltavets is a multifaceted personality. He is a rock musician and one of the leading actors of the folk amateur theater “Brama” of the House of Culture of the Korsun-Shevchenkivsk City Council. But his special passion is video games, in particular those where events take place in the early or high Middle Ages, with the integral addition of fantasy elements. He was one of the first to start developing fantasy culture in the Cherkasy region. His works are used by gaming clubs and local groups of players in many cities of Ukraine – Kyiv, Odessa, Zaporizhia, Cherkasy, Dnipro and others. In the “Poniatovsky Palace” museum, Yaroslav Poltavets presented several interesting layouts for board games.
Iryna Truntseva, head of the culture and tourism department of the city council, spoke at the event. The authors of the wonderful exhibitions were congratulated by their relatives, friends, and colleagues. Musical greetings were performed by students of the K.G. Stetsenko Art School of the Korsun-Shevchenkivsk City Council: Veronika Kovalenko, Sofia Prokopenko, Sofia Ovsiy, teachers: Svitlana Onyshchenko and Lyudmila Sobol.
The exhibitions will be on display until August 1.
