A financial genius who gave his life for Ukraine
Among the Heroes of the Russian-Ukrainian War who rested forever in the Alley of Heroes of the central cemetery in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi is senior soldier Dmytro Nabatov, a driver of the 118th separate mechanised brigade, who died on 11 October 2023 near the village of Robotyno, Zaporizhzhia region.
On 17 October, his wife Olena visited the Reserve. She handed over the State Flag of Ukraine, which was with her husband at the front, as well as the knives that Dmytro used. Olena also handed over an engraving that Dmytro particularly liked. It is a limited edition copy of the graphic work by local artist Dmytro Kryshovsky ‘Russian warship, go f**k yourself’ signed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, the defender of Zmiinyi Island Roman Grybov, and the head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration Igor Taburets.
Olena Nabatova also presented the Reserve with her book Financial Genius. She dedicated it to her husband, a brilliant financial analyst, talented and purposeful person. Elena continues the work she started with Dmitry: she develops an investment company, runs courses at a financial literacy school, and is involved in the affairs of a charity foundation. She is also raising two daughters, Eva and Daria. Olena Nabatova lives her life fulfilling her husband’s request: ‘I ask everyone to live a full life for the sake of those who gave theirs!’
Let us remember those who gave their lives for us and Ukraine!
