Historical interiors are very popular with museum visitors, helping them immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past and experience how people lived, worked, and rested.
Nowadays, it is very difficult to recreate an interior even from the 20th century. Usually, there is a shortage of furniture, which, in particular, is rarely donated to our Reserve.
However, we recently received such a gift. A wardrobe from the 1950s-60s in good condition was donated to the Reserve’s collection. It was used for a long time by the residents of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi. The wardrobe has replenished the small collection of furniture from the second half of the 20th century in our collection.
