Ethnomaster class “Wreath for Ivan Kupala”
editThe night of Ivan Kupala has long been considered the most mysterious and mystical, and the traditions and rituals of the Kupala event have been preserved through the ages as a sacred heritage for future generations.
On June 23, on the eve of Kupala night, a traditional ethno-master class “Wreath for Ivan Kupala” was held on the territory of the Reserve, in which both children and adults participated. More than 15 unique Kupala wreaths were woven at the event. To create them, the organizer of the event, Kateryna Loyenko, collected 27 species of herbaceous flora growing in the Korsun-Shevchenko Park and its surroundings. Even rain and thunderstorms did not prevent those who wanted to weave their own wreath.
The Kupala wreath is not just an interweaving of branches, but a union with nature and the power of the earth. The circle of the colorful and fragrant Kupala wreath, as a shape, symbolizes life, the sun, the integrity and infinity of the family.
