Continued Collaboration with the University of the Third Age

On May 22, as part of the National Week of Accessibility, held in Ukraine from May 19 to 25, the Reserve hosted a museum event titled “A Retrospective of the Native City” for attendees of the University of the Third Age from the Territorial Center of Social Services of the Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi City Council.

Guests visited the palace’s belvedere tower, where Tetiana Poliakova, head of the military museum, told them about the architectural history of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi. Together, they admired the breathtaking views of the historic part of the city, especially beautiful in spring.

The journey through the city’s past continued on the second-floor terrace of the palace. While looking through old photographs, University participants shared personal memories of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi’s history and listened with great interest to the stories told by the Reserve’s researchers. The two-hour meeting flew by in an instant.

As they left the Reserve, participants enthusiastically discussed topics for future sessions.
