On the eve of Dignity and Freedom Day, scientists from the Reserve joined the online event – the educational hour “Dignity in Time: Museum Stories That Speak”, which was organized and conducted by mathematics teacher Yulia Gora for students in grades 1-9 of the Educational Institution “Gymnasium 2 of Primorsk” in Zaporizhzhia region.

To participate in the event, our scientists prepared a short video tour of the exhibition “Ukraine – Above All!”, which is exhibited in the Military Museum of the Reserve. It was conducted by the head of the museum, Tetyana Polyakova, and the video was by Anna Zubko, head of the “Poniatovsky Palace” museum.

Also, Deputy Director for Scientific Work Lidia Ovsienko and Tetyana Polyakova told about Korsun residents – participants in the Revolution of Dignity and the Russian-Ukrainian war. Students and teachers listened attentively to short emotional stories about Oleg Sobchenko, Roman Sokurenko, Vasyl Otzemko, Viktor Khomenko, Serhiy Hondyuk, Viktor Ponomarenko, Serhiy Mazurenko. The audience was especially interested in the story about the Hero of the Heavenly Hundred, Hero of Ukraine Vasyl Serhiyenko, a native of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, who lived and worked in Zaporizhia for a long time.
