The Military Museum hosted the presentation of the exhibition “Cold Steel Weapons”, featuring 21 items from the Reserve’s collection. On display were sabers, shashkas, swords, dirks, and daggers from various eras and countries. Among the highlights were an 18th-century Persian shamshir, a 19th-century Turkish yataghan, a Cossack dagger dated 1861, as well as sabers and shashkas from the World War II period.
The exhibition was organized by Tetiana Poliakova, head of the Military Museum, who shared insights into the origin, structural features, and methods of use of the bladed weapons on display. Visitors also learned the unique history of each specific item.
The exhibition was open for one day only – May 16
