In the conditions of military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, the most crucial task of the Reserve is the preservation of cultural heritage, primarily museum objects, which are the state part of the Museum Fund of Ukraine. We receive significant help in this from both Ukrainian and foreign patrons, as well as from public organizations and our colleagues from other museum institutions.
We received a particular European-made container from the Museum Crisis Center and the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life in Lviv, named after Klymentii Sheptytskyi (Shevchenkivskyi Grove) for safe storage of museum objects in case of their evacuation.
The Center for the Rescue of Cultural Heritage provided funds with which the Reserve purchased packaging materials, tools for treating wood against fire, etc.
We express our sincere thanks to the Museum Crisis Center and its coordinator Lesya Klymenko, colleagues from Shevchenkivskyi Grove, the Center for the Rescue of Cultural Heritage, and its representative Ihor Garmash for material and financial assistance and qualified consultations.
We are grateful to Natalia Osypenko, a former employee of the Department of Culture and Cultural Heritage Protection of the Cherkasy Regional State, Vladyslav Chabanyuk, director of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve “Trypil Culture,” and Oleksandr Nazarov, head of the archeology and cultural heritage protection sector of the same Reserve, for their assistance in obtaining assistance.
Only by joint efforts will we be able to preserve our unique collections.
