KORSUN REGION AND VASYL SYMONENKO

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of Vasyl Symonenko, the historical museum of the Reserve hosted a presentation of the literary study “Korsun Region and V. Symonenko” by Valentyna Lytvyn, leading methodologist of the Public Library of the Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi City Council. The event took place within the framework of the educational project “Outstanding Figures of Ukraine.”

Among the attendees were admirers of Vasyl Symonenko’s work, staff of the Public Library and the Reserve.

Valentyna Vasylivna delivered a professional and engaging talk about her research for the literary study, highlighting Symonenko’s time in the Korsun region. She also introduced poems in which he mentions local people, and presented newly acquired books dedicated to the poet.

The value of the presented literary study lies in its comprehensive collection of materials that shed light on Vasyl Symonenko’s ties with the Korsun region and enable the study of his creative legacy in the context of the history of the Nadrosya area.
