MEMORIAL EVENT FOR SERHIY BILOUSCHENKO

On February 19, a commemorative event was held at the Military Museum of the Reserve to mark the 32nd anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian soldier Serhiy Bilouschenko, who died on July 27, 2014, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The event was organized and conducted by teachers and students of the Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi Lyceum (formerly a gymnasium until 2024), where Serhiy had studied.

Among the guests were Serhiy’s mother Ruslana Yuriyivna, his grandmother Olena Volodymyrivna, as well as relatives of other soldiers who died in the Russo-Ukrainian war—Serhiy Hondiuk and Oleksandr Bardalym—along with lyceum teachers and students.

The students gave a detailed account of Serhiy Bilouschenko’s combat path. Teachers who had taught him shared their memories. A particularly emotional moment was the speech by Olena Volodymyrivna, who still cannot come to terms with the loss of her grandson.

Let us remember the Ukrainian soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine. As long as we remember them—they live on.
