For the 375th anniversary of the Battle of Korsun, the book exhibition “Pages of Cossack Glory” has been created in the historical museum of the Reserve, which presents 33 books from the scientific library of the Reserve, which tell about heroic pages from the history of Ukraine, in particular the Korsun Region, of the Cossack era.

The books are grouped by three themes: “Key events of the National Liberation War of the Ukrainian people in the middle of the 17th century. and their participants”, “Hetman of Ukraine Bohdan Khmelnytskyi”, “Korsun region of the Cossack era”.

Collections of documents, encyclopedic editions, and scientific works of M. Hrushevskyi, D. Yavornytskyi, V. Smoliy, I. Storozhenko are exhibited at the exhibition. For researchers of the history of the Korsun Region, the book “Korsun Cossacks” by Y. Mytsyk and S. Stepenkin, which is based on well-known archival sources on the history of the Korsun region, is valuable.

The exhibition presents only a small part of the most valuable literature on the history of the Ukrainian Cossacks, which is in the collection of the scientific library of the Reserve. The purpose of the exhibition is to draw the attention of visitors to the history of the Ukrainian Cossacks, to encourage them to study it on the basis of reliable sources and thorough scientific research.

The exhibition will be valid until July 1, 2023.
