People from Korsun are participants of the Revolution of Dignity.
editTo the Day of Dignity and Freedom at the exhibition “Ukraine – above everything!” in the Military museum of the Reserve, a number of events were held, which were attended by students of the Korsun-Shevchenkivsky Gymnasium and students of the Korsun-Shevchenkovsk Pedagogical College.
The head of the Military museum, Tetiana Polyakova, conducted a themed excursion for visitors, “People from Korsun – participants in the Revolution of Dignity”. She told about the Hero of Ukraine Vasyl Sergiyenko, Oleg Sobchenko, Roman Sokurenko, Vitaly Kolomiyets, Yuri Kupreev, Viktor Khomenko, Mykhailo Yakubenko, Oleksiy Solodanyuk, Vyacheslav Kolomiyets, who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
Participant of the Revolution of Dignity Valentyn Temnenko shared with the students his memories of the events in which he participated in December 2013 – February 2014 in Kyiv. Valentin Temnenko presented the Reserve with books from the Maidan’s library.
The story of the Revolution of Dignity by Nataliya Smilyanets, a teacher at the Pedagogical College, and an eyewitness to the events, was touching. Nataliya Smilyanets also fondly remembered the former students of the educational institution who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Among them were the participants of the revolutionary events.
