On May 18, on the International Day of Museums, a mobile exhibition “Picturesque Ukraine” based on the “Coloring Book about Ukraine, Ukrainians, peace and Freedom” was presented on the territory of the Reserve. The idea of publishing such a book arose from the young Ternopil woman Vira Hrabchuk under the impression of a road trip through Ukraine, which she made in the summer of 2021, driving from Ternopil to Slovyansk. Together with her artist friend Liza Hlybchenko, the founder of Color Up Pease, they started the “Color Up Ukraine” project. Respondents aged 13–53 years from all over Ukraine, as well as from the USA and Georgia joined the creation of the coloring book. One of them was our colleague Iryna Kovalenko, whose photo “The Palace Ensemble in Autumn” is included in the book.

The children created drawings based on the coloring book from December 2022 till March 2023. The exhibition features 20 pictures from the book and 20 children’s coloring pages depicting different parts of our country.

In the future, we plan to display the “Paint Ukraine” exhibition on the territory of the Reserve during various events, which we will announce in announcements on the Reserve’s website and Facebook page.

Authors of the exhibition: Halyna Davydenko, head of the scientific and methodological department of educational work, Larysa Grebenichenko, junior researcher.
