Planting trees in the Reserve
editEvery year in the springtime, saplings of trees and bushes are planted on the territory of the Reserve, from which wonderful new compositions are created, old alleys are restored, and the arboretum collection is supplemented with new species. So, on a fine April day, the planting campaign started in our park. It is very pleasant that park visitors, especially children, actively participate in it. Today they planted boxwood with young helpers. Local children, as well as children of internally displaced families from Kyiv, joined the good cause. They listened with interest to stories about the structure of the plant, examined its roots and crown. They diligently helped to water, level the bushes and cover the root system with soil. And they got answers to all their questions about the world around them: about bees, about flowers, about little birds, and about many other things from Kateryna Loyenko, a junior researcher at the Department of Nature Protection.
