On June 4, on the Day of Remembrance of Children Who Died as a Result of the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the military museum of the Reserve hosted the “Angel of Memory” event, which was attended by 3rd grade students of the Korsun-Shevchenko Multidisciplinary Educational and Rehabilitation Center “Hope” of the Cherkasy Regional Council and schoolchildren vacationing at the “Hepilandia” summer camp of the Korsun-Shevchenko City Council’s Center for Children and Youth Creativity. In preparation for the event, they made angels out of thread and paper and attached them іn the museum as a reminder to visitors about the children who died during the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The participants of the action honored the memory of the children who were taken by the war with a minute of silence, those who will never go to school, play with their favorite toys, or hear their mother’s lullaby.

Halyna Davydenko, head of the educational sector of the Reserve, based on museum collections, spoke about the barbaric plans of the occupiers to destroy the Ukrainian nation, culture, language, and eradicate the identity of Ukrainians.

Valentina Hrynyuk, head of the exemplary Ukrainian song studio “Colors of Korsunya” of the Center for Children and Youth Creativity of the Korsun-Shevchenkivsk City Council, spoke about the assistance that the students of the Center for Children and Youth Creativity provide to the combat units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The children expressed their sincere desire to live in a free and independent state with the song “Children for Peace.” With hope and faith in Victory, the song “Ukrainian Sun” was sung, which was emotionally performed by Ivan Hrynyuk, Ilya Ovcharyk and Oleksandr Hrytsenko.

After the event, the children examined the exposition of the military museum with great interest and received qualified answers from the scientists of the Reserve to all their questions.
