On September 29, on the territory of the Nature Reserve, the environmental campaign “Young Ornithologists” was held as part of the environmental project “Save the Environment”. It took place on the eve of the International Bird Watching Days (World Bird Watching Days), which this year fall on September 30 – October 1. This ecological date was initiated by the Society for the Protection of Birds. The main purpose of events on these days is to encourage the general public of nature lovers to learn about the world of birds, to draw attention to the problems of their conservation.

Students of the 3rd grade of Korsun-Shevchenkivska secondary school No. 1 (class teacher – Panasyuk Alla) became participants in the environmental campaign. During the meeting, the children learned about migratory birds found on the territory of the park, watched birds that happened to be on the walking route. The attraction of the ecological action was the collection of bird feathers collected during route inspections of the park by Kateryna Loyenko, a junior scientific employee of the Department of Nature Protection. Communicating with nature and with each other gave the participants of the event positive emotions, new knowledge and a desire to explore the world around them.

Birds are a unique and integral element of the animal world of the Reserve park. They provide emotional relief either with their singing, or with the hustle and bustle of life’s troubles, or with the beauty of their appearance. But, taking into account the significant volumes of anthropogenic influence, it is increasingly difficult for birds to survive in the modern world. Everyone’s caring attitude towards birds will help maintain the ecological balance and preserve the environment.
