On October 23, students of the University of the Third Age of the Territorial Center for Social Services of the Korsun-Shevchenko City Council visited the Reserve for a mycological meeting. Kateryna Loyenko, a junior research associate of the Department of Nature Conservation, told the University students about the mushrooms found in the territory of the Korsun-Shevchenko Park, their biological features, and their significance in nature and human life. An exhibition was opened for the participants of the event, which exhibited more than 20 species of mushrooms, in particular, those that are distinguished by unusual fruiting body shapes, color, and unique ontogenesis.

With childlike curiosity, the guests examined the fruiting bodies and bright photos of mushrooms, shared their knowledge about the representatives of the mushroom kingdom and memories of “quiet” hunting.
