A pleasant surprise for the guests of the event was that the participant of two Ukrainian Antarctic expeditions (12th and 13th) was Volodymyr Glebov from Korsun. He worked as a cook at the station, so in his speech he not only shared his experience of expedition, but also told about the diet of polar explorers. Olena Marushevska told little-known facts about Antarctica, had a fun and interesting quiz with souvenirs for the most active participants. The audience was interested in the problem of waste disposal on the continent. Volodymyr Baranenko, the head of the Korsun-Shevchenkivska district organization of the All-Ukrainian Ecological League, raised it in his speech. Performances alternated with showing interesting videos, clips about Antarctica and its four-legged inhabitants. The event was interesting and informative for both children and adults. The songs “Slavetny Korsun” and “Chornobryvtsi” performed by Valentyna Hryniuk, a talented performer and composer, winner of international and winners of many All-Ukrainian competitions and festivals, also gave a good mood.
