“Revolution of Dignity through the eyes of the famous Ukrainian documentary photographer Vladyslav Musienko”
editOn November 21, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Dignity and Freedom, established in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated November 13, 2014, “with the aim of establishing the ideals of freedom and democracy in Ukraine, preserving and conveying to present and future generations objective information about fateful events in Ukraine at the beginning of the 21st century, as well as paying due respect to the patriotism and courage of citizens who in the fall of 2004 and in November From 2013 to February 2014, they stood up for the defense of democratic values, human and citizen rights and freedoms, national interests of our state and its European choice.”
By this date, scientists of the Reserve prepared the exhibition “Revolution of Dignity through the eyes of the famous Ukrainian documentary photographer Vladyslav Musienko”, which was exhibited in the Public Library of the Korsun-Shevchenkiv City Council. At the same time, the library staff exhibited the book exhibition “Ukraine – a state of dignity and freedom”. The visitors of both exhibitions were library readers, including not only Korsu residents, but also internally displaced persons. In particular, Ivan Nemchenko, writer, literary critic, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor of Kherson State University, got acquainted with the exhibitions. The organizers of the event congratulated Ivan Vasyliovych on the liberation of his native city of Kherson from the Russian invaders.
Larisa Grebenichenko, scientific worker of the Reserve, told about Vladyslav Musienko and his works presented at the exhibition. Those present shared their memories of the events of the Revolution of Dignity.
The participants of the event honored the memory of the Heroes who died for Ukraine with a moment of silence.
