On May 16–17, the territory of the Reserve in the city of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi became the venue for interesting sports tourism competitions, organized by the Center for Children and Youth Creativity of the Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi City Council. The competitions were attended by students of the “Hiking Tourism” and “Water Tourism” clubs (led by Dmytro Oborin) from Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi and a team from Shpola.

Sports tourism is a sport that requires good physical training, professional skills, practical experience, and special equipment, as it includes overcoming obstacles of varying complexity in the natural environment and sports competitions at distances with natural or artificial terrain.

Members of both teams participated in the types of competitions for which they were trained. The fans watched everyone with interest. However, the most emotions and excitement were caused by the crossing of the young athletes over the water on a rope from one high rocky bank of the Ros River to the other. This took place near the bridge leading from the city center to Kotsiubynsky Island.

The event contributed to the popularization of sports tourism in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi.
